RSPO is a non-profit organization that unites stakeholders in seven industry sectors of the palm oil industry with the goal of developing and implementing global standards for sustainable palm oil. They have developed a set of environmental and social standards that companies must adhere to in order to produce certified sustainable palm oil. When properly applied, these standards can help palm oil producing areas reduce the negative impacts of palm oil cultivation on the environment and communities.
